Youth culture moves fast! Passionate and versatile tribes are emerging from kids that want fashion, music, art and popular culture their way. Projector is my ongoing project mapping youth cultures through photography, text and graphic segmentation mapping. Even though we are witnessing a turn from large monolithic tribes towards much more broken down, fluid and smaller style tribes, my work shows that consistency prevails and that style tribes still provide that timeless need for identity, belonging and sense of family.
